Network Server

It is like a router for the Lorawan protocol

It handles the authentication

It communicates with Application Serve

It de-duplicates the number of uplinks

It schedules the downlink messages

It could be a cloud based or local server

Application Server

It is responsible for the application layer of the protocol.

It receives frame from the Network server and decrypt the data

It encrypts the data and send the downlink to the end nodes

Data events can be integrated with the destinations like AWS, MQTT, HTTP etc.

Data from Application server is then sent to DBMS (Data Base Management System)
